Halo Chronicles 'No Longer Happening,' Peter Jackson Says

After having dipped in and out of public view for nearly three years now, it appears that Peter Jackson's Halo project is now dead. In an interview with Joystiq following the premiere of District 9, Jackson commented on both the now-defunct project and the film.

Comic Con Star Wars Spectacular Re-Cap

Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron


There was a lot of talk leading up to the annual Star Wars panel here at Comic-Con. It even came with a fancy tagline as "The Star Wars Spectacular." And there was the much-hyped G4 partnership to have it come to the small screen (tune in to G4 on Saturday to check it out). But what the fans got were a series of bizarre skits on the stage and nothing that we didn't know about before (thanks to the new Force Unleashed Achievements being leaked on the net a few days ago).

Bungie's Last Halo Game Will Be 'Reach'


Halo may yet live on beyond 2010, but it won't be under Bungie. Speaking with Computer and Video Games, senior designer Lars Bakken said that the developer would most likely be finished with the franchise following Halo Reach.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Coming To PC And Mac


It's official -- the Secret Apprentice is back, and he's coming to the PC. At the Comic-Con Star Wars Spectacular panel, LucasArts confirmed the rumored Star Wars: The Force Unleashed downloadable content, which had been earlier spoiled by the appearance of achievements online. But they also revealed that it would be repackaged as the "Ultimate Sith Edition" and ported to PC.

Echoshift Hands-On Preview

Get ready for a whole new brand of headache -- but the good kind. The kind where you feel like you accomplished something great, like beating Braid without cheating. Well, that's what is going on here with Echoshift for the PSP, the sequel to the puzzle game Echochrome. Instead of rotating the world to guide a small character across a 3D plane, now all you use is the actual "echo" from your characters to complete a series of levels on a 2D plane. No 3D rotating landscape here.
