Play Guitar Hero with your own songs for FREE! (no modchip)

We all love rocking out with that cheap plastic guitar and thinking we know jack about music. Well now you can get your guitar hero fix FOR FREE. There are a few ways to do this, I'm going to show you the two main ways I do this all the time.
1. Play on your Wii - This requires nothing more than a Wii, though I recommend either a Guitar Hero controller or a USB Keyboard. The first step is to install The Homebrew Channel on your Wii. Next, you'll need to get one of two homebrew games: GuitarFun (which is the only one I have tested so far), or GuitarsOnFire. Note: GuitarFun has a lag you need to fix manually on each song, while GuitarsOnFire supposedly fixes that. After you get one of the above, you can download songs from FretsOnFire.net. If you are using GuitarFun, you will need to fix the lag in a program like Audacity, by simply adding silence at the beginning. And that's it! The in game instructions are pretty self explanatory.
2. Play on your Computer - All you need is a program called Frets On Fire, which has many mods, skins, etc. Note that it is availible for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Now, you can either play with your keyboard, or you can connect a guitar. I believe the PS3 and XBOX360 controllers are USB, so you can just find a driver on the web somewhere. For the Wii guitar, you have to do a little extra. You'll need bluetooth on your computer, either internal or a USB dongle (recommended). Then you want to grab a program called GlovePIE, which programs the controller to certain keys. Now you can use the Frets On Fire script included, or find another to your liking on the interwebs. Again, you download the songs from FretsOnFire.net, but you don't have to fix any lag here.
So what do you think? A lot easier than that modchip and custom rip method eh?
