Sometimes, the weekly Nintendo downloads are pretty sparse, with only two or three games to speak of -- but not this week. Nintendo offers up eight new downloads today, ranging from shooter classics to DSi photo apps. For WiiWare, we start off with Carnival King, a carnival-themed mini-game collection for 700 Wii Points ($7). "Aha! I Got It!" Escape Game is available for 500 points ($5), and features a little boy trying to escape various puzzle rooms put together by his father. And Family Card Games is another title starring Daddy, Mommy, Sarah and Billy, and features three card games: Daifugo, Speed, and Memory. It's up for 500 points.
On Virtual Console, the Sega Master System version of R-Type is 500 points. And in a somewhat strange move, Fighting Street is up on the VC today for 800 points ($8). The game is a TurboGrafx16 CD port of the original arcade Street Fighter.
DSiWare brings Battle of Giants: Dragons - Bronze Edition for 800 points, which has the player customizing their dragon and exploring landscapes to get back 25 bronze gems. Viking Invasion, also for 800 points, looks to be a tower-defense game against Viking hordes. Finally, Sparkle Snapshots for 500 points adds options for the DSi camera, including lighting conditions, a shutter timer, and new frames and stamps.
